calo sakhi kunja Gopala jaha: Let’s go, friend, to Krishna’s forest bower
Kunja poem: "calo sakhī kunja Gopāla jahān"
[The messenger Gopi says to her girlfriend:]
Let’s go, friend, to the forest bower
where Krishna is!
I’ve come to take you there,
where Cupid’s enchanter waits
in the shade of the Kadamba tree,
where pleasant, soft flowery breezes blow.
The son of Nanda is hanging out there,
his heart fixed on yours.
Lovely Braj maiden, after hearing my words,
how can you even think of staying back?
Paramananda’s Lord, the heart-enchanter,
is found only with extreme fortune.
