
Shyamdas lived for many years in Gokul, a small town in the Braja region famous as the site of Krishna’s childhood plays. In 1892 Shyamdas published the following description of that sacred town in his monthly newsletter, Braja Raja (Vol 2 No 2, Aug. 1982).
